Every year, we coordinate surgery teams to Antigua, Guatemala.
These
teams include doctors and nurses that perform surgical
procedures for
the poor of Guatemala. We also welcome non-medical volunteers
to
assist in various projects with Common Hope and other
organizations
within the Antigua area.
Why we do this:
the vast majority of Guatemalans have little or no access
to
health care and cannot afford even basic medical care
an opportunity to serve these people is a life-changing
event
an opportunity to experience a culture so close to
home but so
different than ours
